This crop is from the Fazenda Primavera farm, whose owner followed in the footsteps of his father, producer Ricardo Tavares, who dedicated his life to the coffee industry. Ricardo had always dreamed of owning and operating a coffee farm, and after years of working in coffee, he acquired the Fazenda Primavera farm, the ultimate achievement of that goal. The 980-hectare coffee farm is not just a farm, it is a property that he and his team have set up as a regional model to demonstrate the potential of specialty coffee production in Brazil, transforming it from its foundations, the traditional coffee production started by Portuguese families who arrived in the late 1970s,

The altitudes on the farm range from 1,000 to 1,050 metres above sea level, which favours the cultivation of specialty coffee. The climate also provides favourable conditions, with average temperatures ranging from 20 to 24°C annually and rainfall ranging from 1,000 to 1,300 mm.

Fazenda Primavera has state-of-the-art facilities including a 24,000 square metre drying yard, 14 electric dryers and equipment to process natural, de-pulped, honeyed and fully washed coffees. The farm mainly grows red and yellow Catuai, but there are also additions to other varieties, such as Topazio and Geisha. Primavera’s de-pulped Geisha crop won first place in the 2018 Elite Cup!

This coffee has great classic flavours with moderate acidity and bitterness and a balanced body.
