The Geisha variety is one of the most unique and rare coffees in the world, and with a special treatment that is considered the latest (extra fermentation) we are pleased to launch this limited crop whose first owner was Mr. Jesus Aguirre Panama, who acquired it in 1874. He began growing sugar cane to produce the locally crystallized sugar known as “panilla”, during the 1900s he began growing coffee, and this section was named Anjero after a local fruit that grows in the area. The current owner is Arturo Aguirre Escobar, and represents the third generation of his family. He has been working on the farm since 1956, the total area is 700 hectares and the altitude ranges from 1500 to 2000 meters above sea level, 250 hectares are planted with coffee and the remaining hectares have been preserved as a thousand-year-old virgin forest, giving the farm a special climate and suitable conditions for growing specialty coffee. Anjero Farm has its own processing plant to ensure quality.
